Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi state convenor Gopal Rai held a meeting with state officials of all frontal organizations at the party headquarters on Saturday (22 February). Gopal Rai said that in this meeting it has been decided to reorganize all the frontal organizations of the party and strengthen them further. Apart from this, the party has decided to conduct an audit to evaluate the role of the officials of Lok Sabha, district, assembly and ward level frontal organizations in the Delhi elections.
This audit will be completed in the next one week. During this, the state officials of the frontal organizations also put forth their views on the main reasons for the victory and defeat of the Aam Aadmi Party in various assemblies. Gopal Rai said that just as the party has started the process of reorganizing the main wing, in the same way the Aam Aadmi Party will do the work of reorganizing all the wings in the coming days. So that the party can be strengthened further where it is weak.
He said that on one hand all the MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party will raise the issue of fulfilling the promises made by the newly elected BJP government inside the House, on the other hand all the wings of the party will be given the responsibility of raising related issues among the people. The party will further intensify its preparations to play the role of a strong opposition in the House and in the society of Delhi.
Gopal Rai said that we have mainly discussed about the organization and where the weaknesses are in the organization. We have just listened to the state officials of the organization. Since the election was being fought on every assembly and every booth, it has been decided today that a report of all the officials of the frontal organizations should be prepared so that the whole picture can be clear.
Regarding the leader of opposition in Delhi Assembly on behalf of Aam Aadmi Party, Gopal Rai said that the newly elected government has just taken oath. On 24 February, all the MLAs will take oath inside the House. Immediately after the MLAs take oath, Aam Aadmi Party will announce the name of its leader in the House.
Our party has sought time to meet the Chief Minister regarding the scheme of giving Rs 2500 per month to women. We hope that Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will give us time to meet. She will take the dialogue with the opposition forward. We will discuss this issue with the CM. If we do not get time, the party will formulate a further strategy.
