Congress leader and MLA from Tonk, Sachin Pilot said that like ‘Indira is India’, the narrative of ‘Modi is India’ is being created. When he was asked in the Ideas of India program what counter does the Congress have for this? He said, “We do not need any counter.”
Sachin Pilot said, “India is a very old concept which people have believed in for centuries. How should our country be in today’s context? Today we are at a point where India is recognized in the world and people are recognizing our achievements as well. Our country should be such that the world feels what such a big country of 140 crore people is giving to the world?”
Sachin Pilot said, “Our country has had different types of rulers, the British also came, but India’s unity and sovereignty remained intact, we are proud Indians wherever we are from.” While attacking the opposition party BJP, Sachin Pilot said, “BJP was born in 1984, 8 years after I was born. No party, leader or slogan, one person can define the country. The idea of India is bigger than all these. Our country is bigger than any one ideology or political party.”
On the other hand, Sachin Pilot said on the defeat of Congress in the elections, “If we are not able to win the elections, will we sit at home or will we struggle? We will come on the streets. From Sarpanch to Lok Sabha elections, we will fight with double strength. People decide victory and defeat. We are not going to leave our responsibility and duty. We will take the answer and will ensure accountability.” Sachin Pilot also responded to the speculations of conflict within the All India Alliance and said that why don’t people ask BJP, who used to say all sorts of things about Nitish Kumar and Ajit Pawar and are today shaking hands with them.
