Former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has written a letter to the newly appointed Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. In her letter, she has sought time from the CM to meet with the AAP Legislature Party on February 23. She has demanded implementation of schemes related to giving Rs 2500 per month to the women of Delhi as per the election promises. She has said in her letter that why this scheme was not passed in the first cabinet despite the promise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi?

Aam Aadmi Party MLA and former CM Atishi on Saturday took a dig at CM Rekha Gupta. She said that the newly appointed CM has said on the first day of her tenure that it is my government in Delhi regarding PM Modi and BJP national president JP Nadda. Who are you people to tell me the agenda?

Atishi further said that this has already given an indication of the intention of the Delhi BJP government. The former CM said, “I am surprised. On the very first day, Rekha Gupta is asking PM Modi and Nadda, who are you to tell me the agenda? By giving this statement, she has proved both the top leadership of BJP to be liars. Now they cannot ask questions to both the CMs. It is clear that now Rekha Gupta will run the Delhi government as per her wish.”

On February 20, the BJP government came into existence in Delhi after the swearing-in ceremony in the national capital. On that day, CM Rekha Gupta addressed the media after the first cabinet meeting. When asked by the media what happened to the promise of giving Rs 2500 per month to women, she replied, “Tell them (AAP) that when they were in power, they worked according to their own wishes. Now the government is ours. Let us work on our agenda. Tell them that there is no need to interfere.”
